Buddha's Belly Electuary [Gut Healing Honey]
A new addition to the apothecary! Buddha's Belly is a blend of powdered Marshmallow root, Rose petals, and Vanilla in honey.  Marshmallow root is traditionally used as a demulcent (helping to add moisture back into the lining of the digestive tract) and a vulnerary (wound healing in the gut).  Rose's astringent properties also help to tonify and act as a vulnerary in the digestive tract.  The addition of Vanilla gives a subtle warmth and depth to the flavour of this electuary.  For folks with inflamed digestive issues, this is a lovely daily support during a flare up or for the recovery phase.  Take a dollop neat,  add to your hot water or tea, or you can warm it and drizzle it on toast with peanut butter!
